Seniors Helping Seniors® in home care services of Central St Louis and St Charles county (including the vicinities of Florissant, University City, Maryland Heights, Creve Coeur, Ladue, Clayton, Bridgeton, St. Ann, Overland , St Charles, St Peters, Wentzville and surrounding areas) provides non-medical home health care assistance for seniors by seniors. We work with seniors and older adults to reduce their loneliness and ensure their safety while keeping them active and happy. Mary and Michael Kierath, Franchise Owners
Our passion for seniors is what brought us to the Seniors Helping Seniors® family.
Michael Kierath, who works in sales and has management experience, and his wife Mary Kierath, who spent 35 years working in early childhood development, have spent much of their adult lives caring for older members of their families.
While Mary was a stay at home mom, she was the designated person to take care of various relatives. Mike's father lived with them for twelve years. During this time he experienced many health issues. Mary took care of him on a day to day basis. Mary also took care of an aunt who had Parkinson's , an aunt who had Alzheimer's and an uncle who had heart disease.
The Seniors Helping Seniors® in home care business model is different than other companies because senior caregivers and receivers can relate to each other based on similar life experiences, said the Kieraths. They added that there is a shortage of employment for seniors in the area, and this will provide an opportunity for seniors to serve each other and get paid to do so.
“We believe that all seniors have the right to stay in their own homes as long as they can safely do so,” Mike Kierath said. “Seniors Helping Seniors® in home care services will give them the extra help that is needed to avoid entering a nursing home prematurely.”
